1991
Humble Beginnings
Peter Wang, the founder of Qingdao Merid, started the company in the year 1991 with 8 employees in a 1,000 sqm workshop.
Equipped with 3 stamping presses and 3 welding machines, the company exclusively served the domestic market with localized production capabilities.
1998
Expansion & Globalization
After 7 years development, based on the good quality and reliable cooperation with our customers,
our workforce grew to 20 as we relocated to a 3,000 sqm facility.
New equipment including bending machines and lathes enabled product diversification.
This year marked our international debut, we went to launching exports to European markets while maintaining domestic operations.
2008
Strategic Upgrade
With 40 employees, we shifted focus to customized parts, enhancing R&D capabilities to move away from low-cost competition.
Automation investments included robotic welders, securing our first long-term European client. Domestic operations were gradually phased out.
2018
Quality & Digital Transformation
ISO 9001 certification standardized production processes. Advanced machinery like laser cutters and CNC bending centers boosted efficiency.
Active participation in international trade shows(Hannover Messe) and digital platforms (Made-in-China, corporate website) accelerated global outreach.
Present
Industry Leadership
Now with 80 employees and 12,000 sqm facilities, we serve core sectors (construction, agriculture, industry) across Europe, Australia, the U.S and other countries.
Maintaining annual exports about 8 million US dollars, we've completed the full transition from domestic supplier to global precision manufacturing partner.
And Peter's son Torres joined in the company's sales team in the year 2024. He is helping Peter enlarge the market.
